Noting historical importance of TANAP, the President said that Azerbaijan had undertaken major financial burden on this project: ‘There are all opportunities for realization of this project. TANAP is an integral part of Southern Gas Corridor. It requires large financial. We will use our opportunities here’.
Moreover, the President touched upon several problems connected with the SGC: ‘Despite the discussions, conducted so far, there is no result. We found that the project will be postponed, if Azerbaijan does not take responsibility’.
Azerbaijani President stressed that TANAP was a significant project for energy security of Europe.
‘Our gas reserves will be sufficient for us for more than 100 years and more. Today, we do not have any misunderstanding. Our wish is to prevent becoming energy policy to a battleground. We are compiling energy map of Europe together’, added the President.
Underlining once again that Azerbaijan is persistent in SGC, the head of state noted that the project bulls geopolitical and economic importance.
