Oil and gas transportation through main pipelines decreases in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. In January-April this year, 14.1 mln tonnes of oil was transported through main pipelines in Azerbaijan. Compared to the relevant period of last year, it decreased by 5.4%.

 

The State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that ¾ part of the transportation has been carried out via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline and in January-April this year, 10.7 mln tonnes of oil was transported through this pipeline. Compared to the relevant period of 2012, it decreased 6.1%. During these months, 1 mln tonnes of oil was transported from Sangachal terminal via BTC pipeline and compared to last year, it decreased by 16.7%.

 

In January-April, 7 billion cbm gas was transported via gas pipelines and compared to previous year, it decreased 4.1%. 19.7% of gas was transported through Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum (South Caucasus) pipeline. During the reporting period 1.4 cbm gas was transported via this pipeline and compared to the first 4 months of 2012, it decreased by 12.5%.
