According to APA-Economics, regional and global energy market, energy security, role of Azerbaijan and Caspian Region in European energy security, internatoina oil and gas projects and international cooperation for their realization were discussed at the conference, which will last 2 days.
The conference was organized by Iteca Caspian and attended by 500+ participants.
At the first day of the conference, the role of Azerbaijan in Eurasian energy supply and security, increase of oil and gas production and international cooperation for diversification of supply methods, instability in energy market and its possible impact on gas price and long-term contracts were discussed. EU ambassador to Azerbaijan Roland Kobia, US Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Diplomacy Amos J Hochstein, UK Trade Envoy to Azerbaijan Charles Hendry spoke about energy map of the world, role of Azerbaijan and Caspian Region here, implementing energy projects and their significance for European energy security. The Israeli foreign ministry's special energy envoy Michael Lotem spoke about significance of Israel’s gas as a factor of regional geopolicy. SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev, BP-Azerbaijan’s President Gordon Birrell made speeches on projects implemented by their companies, works for stabilization of oil production of the country.
Turkmen Deputy Minister of Oil Gas Industry and Natural Resources Annageldy Mametyazov and the General Director of Europe, America and Caspian Sea Neighboring Countries Department of the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum Hossein Esmaeili Shahmirzadi informed about energy policy pursued by their countries, as well as cooperation proposals on projects implemented in the region.
Moreover, oil-gas processing and oil-gas projects, the biggest oil-gas processing in the country, alternative and renewable energy strategy in the country, technological impact of renewable energy sector on energy system, economic integration issues were discussed.
