Azerbaijani increases transportation via main oil and gas pipelines

Baku. Agshin Rafiqoglu – APA-Economics. During January-July 2014, Azerbaijani main pipelines transported 27.6 mln tons of oil, a 10.0% increase compared to the same period in 2013.

 

The State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics that ¾ of the transportation was realized via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil export pipelines. During this year’s Januray-July, these pipelines transported 20.9 mln tons of oil. During the period, 3.1 mln tons of Turkmenistani oil brought to the country by ships was transported via the BTC pipeline from the Sangachal terminal.

 

During the seven-month period this year, the country’s main pipelines transported more than 12.7 bln cubic meters (9.3%) of gas. 28.3% (3.6 bln cubic meters) of the transported gas was realized via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum—South Caucasus Pipeline.
