He said that currently, joint exploration operations of sediments are being carried out with foreign countries: “In case of positive results in 2-3 years, drilling process may be started in Mesozoic sediments in 4-5 years. As you know, “Umid”, “Absheron”, “Zafar”, “Mashal” and others are gas-condensate fields. We should discover onshore fields to produce oil, so the Mesozoic sediments are being explored.”
Yusifzadeh also said that the drilling of a second well has been started in the prospective onshore field “Gosha Dagh”, as the first one did not give positive results.
