Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. In January, 2013, Azerbaijan transported 3.6 mln tonnes of oil via main pipelines, down 10% from a year earlier.
State Statistical Committee says ¾ part of transportation was carried out by Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil export pipeline and 2.8 mln tonnes of oil were transported via this pipeline, down 9.8% from January, 2012. During the period, 196,400 tonnes of transit Turkmen oil were transported via BTC pipeline imported to Azerbaijan through Sangachal terminal, down 38.3% from previous year.
At the same time, 2 bcm of gas was transported via main gas pipelines, down 4.9% in comparison to a year earlier. 18.4% of transported gas was transported via Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline and 0.4 bcm of gas was transported via this pipeline in January.
