Azerbaijan decreases oil-gas transportation via main pipelines

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. In 2012, the oil-gas transportation via main pipelines decreased by 3.2% in Azerbaijan.

State Statistical Committee says 43.3 mln tonnes of oil were transported via main pipelines in the reporting period, down 5% from 2011: “3/4 of transportation – 32.9 mln tonnes were carried out via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, down 4.6% from 2011. Besides, 3.1 mln tonnes of Turkmen oil were transported via BTC pipeline through Sangachal terminal, up 47.6% in comparison to a year earlier”.

Main gas pipelines transported 19.3 bcm of gas in 2012, donw 3.1% compared with 2011. 20.8% or 4 bcm of this gas was transported Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline, down 11.1% from previous year.
