Azerbaijan decreases crude oil export through Ceyhan port by 22% in February

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. In February, 2013, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan’s Marketing and Economic Operations Department exported 249,125 tonnes of crude oil through Novorossiysk port (Black Sea, Russia), 318,596 tonnes – through Supsa port (Black Sea, Georgia) and 1,743,138 tonnes – through Ceyhan port (Mediterranean Sea, Turkey), up 94.8 times, 31.5% and 22% in comparison to a year earlier.

SOCAR says in January-February, 251,755 tonnes of crude oil were exported through Novorossiysk, 560,936 tonnes – through Supsa and 3,172,151 tonnes – through Ceyhan port. Compared with January and February of 2012, crude oil export through Novorossiysk and Ceyhan dropped 23.4% and 3%, through Supsa – rose 17.6%.
