Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. In January-February, 2013, Azerbaijan transported 7 mln tonnes of oil via main pipelines, down 7.9% from a year earlier.
State Statistical Committee says 76.7% of transportation was carried out by Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil export pipeline and 5.4 mln tonnes of oil were transported via this pipeline, down 8.5% from January- February, 2012. During the period, 372,8 000 tonnes of transit Turkmen oil were transported via BTC pipeline imported to Azerbaijan through Sangachal terminal, down 42.2% from previous year.
At the same time, 3.7 bcm of gas was transported via main gas pipelines, down 7.5 % in comparison to a year earlier. 17.6% of transported gas was transported via Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline. 651.8 bcm or 24.4% gas was transported via this pipeline during the reporting period.
