Azerbaijan reveals volume of gas produced so far from Umid field

Umid gas-condensate field, located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, has produced 9.2 billion cubic meters of gas since its commissioning until 01.05.2024, SOCAR presented this information at the "Caspian Oil&Gaz" oil and gas exhibition within the Baku Energy Week, APA-Economics reports.

According to the information, 1.4 million tons of gas condensate was produced in the Umid field during the reporting period.

Noted that 2.3 billion cubic meters of gas and 325.1 thousand tons of condensate are expected to be produced in the field this year.

It should be noted that the operation of the Umid field commenced in 2012. Umid field is located in the Caspian Sea, from 75 km south of Baku. The deposit belongs to a jar (jug) formed on the basis of underwater mud volcanoes. The uplift consists of anticlinal folds extending in the north-west and south-east directions. The depth of the sea is 40-60 meters in the area of ​​the field, which is 45 km².
