Transportation of Turkmen oil via BTJ pipeline decreases by 35% in April

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. In April, 2012, 2,312,466 tons of Azeri oil were transported via Baku-Tbilisi-Jeyhan main pipeline, down 14.3% from previous month.

State Oil Company of Azerbaijan says 10,240,466 tons of oil were transported via this pipeline during January-April, 2012, down 10.5% from year earlier. Totally, 186,021,108 tons of oil have been pumped in the pipeline since it launched.

Besides, 207,190 tons of oil were transported via BTJ during March, 2012, down 34.8% compared with a month earlier.

BTJ shareholders are: «BP Azerbaijan» (30,1%), AzBTC (25%), «Chevron» (8,9%), «Statoil» (8,71%), TPAO (6,53%), ENI (5%), «Total» (5%), «Itochu» (3,4%), Inpex (2,5%), «ConocoPhillips» (2,5%) and «Hess» (2,36%).
