Transportation of Turkmen oil via Baku-Jeyhan pipeline increased

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. In January â€“ March, 2012, 11.5 mln tons of oil were transported via Azerbaijanâ€™s main pipelines, down 5% from year earlier.

State Statistical Committee says 77.3% of transportation was realized via Baku-Tbilisi-Jeyhan pipeline and 8.9 mln tons of oil were transported during the same period, down 3.3% from year earlier.

Besides, 962.9 thousand tons of Turkmen oil were transported from Sangachal terminal via BTJ, up 56.2% from previous year.

Along with this, 5.5 bcm of gas were transported via Azerbaijanâ€™s main gas pipeline, up 11% in comparison to a year ago. 23.6% of transported gas was transported via Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline and 1.3 bcm of gas were transported via this pipeline.
