Azerbaijan to invest $13 bln in construction of new oil-gas processing and oil chemistry complex

He noted that, total area of complex will be 1500 ha and located in 60 km distance from Baku.

â€œFirstly, 10-15 bcm of gas and 10 mln tons of oil will be processed in the plant. At the same time, A-82, A-95 and A-98 gasoline, jet engine fuel, diesel, bitumen and etc will be produced here and most of them will be exportedâ€, he informed.

According to SOCAR official, the products will meet the Euro-5 standard: â€œmain part of oil products will be diesel and itâ€™ll be possible to import more cars using dieselâ€.

The complex will be launched in stages and they cover 2018-2020: â€œfirstly, oil chemistry complex, then oil-gas processing will be launchedâ€.

He also noted that, total capital investment makes $12-13 bln. Foreign investors are also planned to be involved here.
