SOCAR President meets with Georgian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources

Baku. Vahab Rzayev - APA-Economics. SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev met with Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Georgia Alexander Khetaguri, who paid visit to Baku in order to participate in the 18th International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference Incorporating Refining and Petrochemicals.

SOCAR says Abdullayev noted that Azerbaijan and Georgia established strong political, economic, scientific and cultural relations. To him, to development of this cooperation is paid special attention at the level of heads of sates. He informed the guest about the regional energy projects implemented in the country.

Khetaguri said that SOCAR had been active in the gas market in Georgia, it had more than 70 filling stations in this country. Moreover he noted that Kulevi terminal belonged to SOCAR made a great contribution to the economy of Georgia. He noted Georgia was interested in the deepening of cooperation with Azerbaijan in the oil and gas industry.

Abdullayev noted that investment projects in Georgia would extend more in future. He expressed confidence that interstate energy cooperation would strengthen more. The sides exchanged views on the AGRI project considering transportation of Azerbaijani liquefied natural gas to Romania via Georgia.
