SOCAR President receives EU Commissioner for Energy

Baku. Vahab Rzayev - APA-Economics. SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev met with European Commissioner for Energy GÃ¼nther Oettinger, who paid visit to Azerbaijan in order to participate in the 18th International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference Incorporating Refining and Petrochemicals.

SOCAR told APA that, Abdullayev expressed satisfaction with the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU in the energy sector in the ascending line.
According to his words, Azerbaijan will carefully review all major projects in oil and gas exports, including particularly the EU-supported projects Nabucco and TAP.

According to G. Oettinger, the EU considers Azerbaijan as a reliable partner in energy security. To him, this relationship is beneficial to both parties. Oettinger expressed confidence in further dynamic development of energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU, including in the sphere of implementation of the â€œSouthern Energy Corridorâ€ project.
