Special Envoy of the U.S. Secretary of State for Eurasian Energy meets with SOCAR President

Baku. Vahab Rzayev - APA-Economics. SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev met with the delegation led by Special Envoy of the U.S. Secretary of State for Eurasian Energy Richard Morningstar, who paid visit to Azerbaijan in order to participate in the 18th International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference Incorporating Refining and Petrochemicals.

Speaking about close cooperation relations between Azerbaijan and the US established in energy sphere, Abdullayev reminded contribution USâ€™ oil-gas companies to development of Azerbaijanâ€™s energy sector. He added that Azerbaijan achieved strong performance in oil and gas production gradually increased the importance of Azerbaijan’s energy security in Europe.

According to Morningstar, the relations between Azerbaijan and the U.S. are developing dynamically in all spheres, including energy cooperation. He noted that he would continue to make every effort to elevate this relationship to a qualitatively new level.

Other issues of mutual interest were discussed at the event. U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Matthew Bryza attended the meeting as well.
