Barack Obama: â€œEast-West Energy Corridor was founded as the result of Heydar Aliyevâ€™s prescience and purposefulnessâ€

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA-Economics. US President Barack Obama has addressed a letter of congratulation to the participants of 18th International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition. According to APA-Economics, the Special Envoy of the United States Secretary of State for Eurasian Energy Richard Morningstar has read the letter at the opening ceremony of the event.

Congratulating the Azerbaijani nation and President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of 18th International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition Barack Obama noted in his letter that, East-West Energy Corridor had been founded as the result of Heydar Aliyevâ€™s prescience and purposefulness.

The large investments in great energy projects like Azeri, Chirag, Guneshli oil fields, BTC oil pipeline, Shah Deniz gas field and South Caucasus pipeline have brought commercial, economic and strategic profit to Azerbaijan and its international partners.

US president noted that, the successful cooperation between state and private sector in Azerbaijan contributed to meeting the international societyâ€™s need for global energy: â€œYour decision on joining the one of the widest and most difficult projects over the world South Corridor will support the start of new stage and development of economy in energy sphere of Azerbaijanâ€.

The letter says that, US intends to continue the cooperation with Azerbaijan in the direction of development of energy safety and development of difference, at the same time, gaining of progress and stability in Caucasus region.
