He said a part of produced copper was exported and other part is prepared for the export. “We export copper to South Koreaâ€, said Vaziri and added that copper has relative humidity and therefore it is sold at lower prices in the world market. The newly-installed technologies will enable us to decrease the humidity. Now we are negotiating the export issues with several potential customersâ€.
Azerbaijan prefers to take its part in cooper production in the form of gold. “According to the agreement reached with the government, the country’s copper production incomes share will be paid with gold. The government intends to preserve gold resourcesâ€.
