SOCAR and relevant Operation Companies lay nearly 7500 claims in connection with illegal constructions in mining areas

The company says recently, most of these territories, especially protected areas of mining and oil and gas pipelines are occupied by individuals and legal entities without any document, or with illegal decisions of municipalities. SOCAR has several times addressed related executive, law-enforcement bodies and municipalities in connection with common state of these problems and occupation cases. Moreover, for the purpose of restoration of violated rights, nearly 3000 claims have been laid by SOCAR and relevant Operation Companies at the appropriate courts of Azerbaijan, appropriate documents had been prepared for submitting of nearly 4500 other pretensions to the court.

The sued buildings were related to recent constructions. Resolution of arbitrary buildings at the courts is carried out in a mass and in this case, appropriate legal confirming documents and results of satellite recording are based on. Main purpose of determining of the time of period of construction is to prevent the mass illegal occupation cases.

Company says though the courts have decisions in connection with these activities, SOCAR does not purpose to destroy residential areas settled long ago by the people. The companyâ€™s activity in this direction has been directed to elimination of obstacles in conducting of oil-gas operations of legal users.
