Rules on use of gas affirmed in Azerbaijan

According to rule on gas supply, these rules regulate the relations between the gas distributor and consumer on gas supply (based on contract about the sale and purchase of gas), connecting and disconnecting conditions to the network, quality of gas, payment conditions of gasâ€™ value and other issues.

According to rules, gas distributor supplies the consumers with gas in accordance to the contract about sale and purchase of gas. Contract covers the duties and rights of consumer and gas distributor, including quality, volume, payment conditions of value of gas and other issues. Qualitative indexes of gas â€“ composition, density, humidity and others must meet the state standards.

The control of execution of rules is implemented by Industry and Energy Ministry and Emergency Situations Ministry.

The rule on connecting of newly-constructed buildings was also recorded in te rules. According to rules,

According to rules, if the gas meters donâ€™t meet the state standards and the payments delays over a month a notification on stopping of gas supply must be sent to the consumer. Besides, gas meters must be controlled in 6 months.

The consumer must inform the gas distributor about any problem. Besides, if no one lives at homes for over 1 month, the gas distributor must also be informed about this.
According to rules, when there are not holes under doors of bathrooms, it is forbidden to use gas installations there.
Providence with gas meter, its installation and changing is realized on account of gas distributor.
It is prohibited to demand funds from consumers for holding next state inspection of gas meters. Value of used gas is paid especially via bank or post offices.
Score determined by gas meter supplied by gas distributor must be paid totally after a month - presentation of it to the consumer.
New rules specify rules of gas delivery to the consumer. According to document, when gas installation does not meet demands of state standards, consumer does not pay gas debt within a month and etc. cases gas supply is stopped. Stopping of gas supply to the consumer is carried out only privately. Stopping of gas supply of one consumer because of not paying gas debts must not be resulted with violation of rights of other consumers, who pay gas debts in time.
After the elimination of cases causing stop of gas supply, it must be restored within one day after.
