Mukhtar Babayev: â€œAzerkimya Industrial Union increases variety and qualityâ€

Baku. Ali Ahmadov â€“ APA-Economics. Works on extension of variety and increasing of quality of products produced SOCARâ€™s Azerkimya Industrial Union are being carried out. Related structures of SOCAR, as well as foreign advisers are attracted to these works, Director General of the Union Mukhtar Babayev told APA.

To him, currently, some products manufactured at Azerkimyaâ€™s institutions are being adapted to the European standards. Such products have been exported by low price so far as a result of not corresponding the standards: â€œIn general, more than 90% of Azerkimyaâ€™s products are exported, that is why, we must achieve significant changes in the quality of productâ€.

Moreover, all sold products will be packed until the end of the year, it will simplify transportation of the product, as well as it corresponds the world standards.

Babayev said that at present, other new products (types of polyethylene and polypropylene production) were produced at the union as well. To him, there is big need for these products both inside the country and abroad. In general, though it is considered to produce around 80 000 tons polyethylene and 40 000 tons polypropylene at institutions of Azerkimya, the real production will be more.

Babayev noted that price of chemical products rose in connection with oil price rise in world market.
