Works in Azerbaijan for establishment of Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey single energy network need $ 45 mln

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA-Economics. Construction of high-voltage power line in Azerbaijan within the Energy Bridge Project which is designed to merge the Azerbaijani, Georgian and Turkish energy networks needs 40-45 mln USD, Azerenergy Vice-President Marlen Alesgerov told APA.

According to him, line in Azerbaijan must be constructed in more than 70 km-area.

“Georgia borrowed $ 200 mln loan, but no concrete work has been conducted, yet. Georgia must launch a line from Azerbaijan to Turkey and construct substation in Akhalkhalak”, he said.

Speaking about synchronization project of Russia-Azerbaijan-Iran electric network, Alesgerov told that the main problem was between Russia and Iran.
