Austria plans to increase export to Azerbaijan

Baku. Viktoriya Dementyeva – APA-Economics. Black Sea and South Caucasus regions offer freat potential for development in energy sector, said the Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Spindelegger speaking about “Austria’s foreign policy in Black Sea and South Caucasus”, at Vienna Institute.

According to him, Austria welcomes Nabucco project to serve to diversification of Europe’s energy supply as a strategic gas corridor.

He also noted that, regional conference co-organised by my Ministry, the Ministry of Environment and the Austrian Chamber of Economy on “Energy between Danube and Caucasus” focussing on the role of renewable energy and energy efficiency as keys for economic development, and which would be held on 28-29 April 2011 in Vienna.

Minister said Austria planned to increase the export to the 6 countries (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova, Turkey and Ukraine) to 4 bln Euros during 4 years coming.
