Ukraine’s company starts pumping Azerbaijani oil to Belarus

Baku – APA-Economics. Ukraine’s company Ukrtransnafta on February 13 started pipelining Azerbaijani oil to Belarus, Belorusskie Novosti reported.

The oil is being pumped to the Mazyr oil refinery via the Odessa-Brody pipeline.

Ukrtransnafta said in a statement posted on its website that it had started pumping the crude in accordance with agreements reached earlier at the interstate level and with the Belarusian Oil Company.

The 81,000-ton shipment of Azerbaijani oil arrived in the seaport of Yuzhne in Ukraine’s Odessa province on January 29.

According to Ukrtransnafta, the second shipment laden with 85,000 tons of Azerbaijani crude destined for Belarus arrived in the Pivdenny seaport in the province on February 11 and was uploaded the following day.

In a swap deal with Venezuela, Azerbaijan is to supply four million tons of oil to Belarus this year
