Azergaz PU makes public report on results of last year

Baku. Ali Ahmedov â€“ APA-Economics. Press conference on the results of 2010 was held in SOCARâ€™s Azergaz PU.

General Director of PU Akbar Hajiyev spoke about the large-scale works after operation under the SOCAR.

He noted that, technological processes have been improved, volume abnd pressure of natural gas have been increased, gas supply of the country increased. As the results of these works 51 villages and settlements, including 73 682 new subscribers have been supplied with natural gas. At the same time, near 77 000 subscribers have get new meters.

According to Azerigaz PU, 958 km-gas pipeline has been reconstructed in Baku, in 2010.

In January-September, reconstruction works have been conducted in Siyazan Compressor Station and it has been put into operation since January 1, 2011. Currently, this station transports 5.5-6 bcm of natural gas to Russia, per day. Astara CS transports 1.5 mcm of gas to Iran, per day.

He also spoke about the accidents and carbon monoxide poisoning. According to him, 10.6% of accidents was carbon monoxide poisoning, 5.4% - fire. In January, 2011, 71.5% of accidents was poisoning, 28.6% - explosion.
