Azerbaijani gas to be sold to Greece without Turkish mediation

To him, according to agreement, contract between Turkey and Greece on gas purchase will be substituted with the agreement between Azerbaijan and Greece: â€œAn agreement will be signed on gas purchase between Azerbaijan and Greece. State Oil Company will conduct transaction operations directly with Greek DEPA companyâ€. Legal issues related to gas purchase will be solved between the two sides.

Note that, Greece purchased 700 mcm of gas from Turkey. And now Azerbaijani side will sell this gas to Greece directly. Moreover, Azerbaijan wants to increase volume of gas sold to this country. It also depends on need of Greece, the need of Greece maybe 3 bcm.

Note that, direct conduction of gas transaction will not change the method of physical delivery. Depa’s boss Harry Sachinis told APA-Economics that Azerbaijani gas will be delivered to Greece through Turkey.
