Greek Deputy Foreign Minister: â€œWe expect Azerbaijan to be main gas exporter of Greeceâ€

He noted that, the Caspian region was an important for Greece and Azerbaijan played great role in this region.

Speaking about cooperation opportunities between two countries Kuvelis said that, cooperation on tourism, agriculture, education, health, green technology spheres are possible: â€œEnergy sector in our cooperation plays an important role. Main cooperation may be related to role of transport corridor for energy projects. We expect Azerbaijan to be main gas exporter of Greece. At the same time, we hope that our country will export important gas to Italy via Turkey-Greece-Italy merging pipeline, at the same time, to Bulgaria via Greece-Bulgaria gas pipeline, to create condition or construction of Greece-Italy and Greece-Bulgaria pipelines. Construction of these pipelines will crate opportunity for Azerbaijan to export both Italy and other European countries, especially South-Eastern European countries.

He noted that, Greece appreciated construction of this pipeline.
