Gas transportation via Baku-Erzurum pipeline decreases by 6% in 2010

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan has transported 50 mln tons of oil via main pipelines in 2010, down 1% in comparison to 2009.

State Statistical Committee says 76.6% of transportation was implemented via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and 38.3 mln tons of oil was transported through this pipeline in 2010, up 0.3% compared to 2009.

Besides, 1.3 mln tons of Turkmen oil was transported via BTC pipeline through Sangachal terminal during the 6 months.

At the same time, Azerbaijan has transported 17.3 bcm of gas during the period of report, down 7.1% from 2009. Of this, 28.2% was transported via Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline and 4.9 bcm of gas was transported via this pipeline during the same period, down 5.8% compared to 2009.
