Oil production to be increased by 2.2% next year

According to company, the volume of the produced oil in 2010, is expected to be 52.450 mln tons, up 4% compared with a year ago. If this forecast will eb fulfilled successfully, the oil production in Azerbaijan will increase by 62.5% during next five years.

SOCAR is expected to produce 8.2 mln tons of oil and foreign companies in Azerbaijan to produced 45.4 mln tons, next year. In 2010, SOCAR is forecasted to produce 8.4 mln tons, foreign companies â€“ 44.4 mln tons. In this case, SOCARâ€™s oiol production will decline 1.7%, foreign companiesâ€™ will increase by 6%.

Oil production on SOCAR is expected to be decreased by 2.4%, on foreign companies to be increased by 2.3%, next year.
