SOCAR to increase gas reserves in underground gas storages

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will increase the gas reserves in Kalmaz and Garadagh underground gas storages by 57.9%, SOCAR told APA.

The company also told that the 34 wells were repaired and 24 of them joined the process of gas pupming to gas storages. At the same time 8 wells were abolished.

32 wells were repaired in Kalmaz storages and all of them joined pumping process og gas to storage.

Besides, compressor station will be put into operation in Garadagh gas storage and daily capacity of it will be 7 mcm. Construction of 110-wells gas distributor points and reconstruction of compressor station has been started in Kalmaq storage.

Gas reserves in both underground gas storages will be increased from 1.9 bcm to 3 bcm during the current year.
