Azerbaijan sees 2% rise in mining sector production in January-September

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Mining sector production in Azerbaijan made AZN 15.5 bln in January-September, 2010, up 2.1% compared with a year ago.

State Statistical Committee says that the enterprises of Azerbaijan Operating Company produced 32.2 mln tons of oil and 7.8 bcm of natural gas during the same period, up 2.5% and 5.2% compared with a year ago.

At the same time the entrepreneurs produced 2 699.5 thousand tons of gravel, road-metal, small cobblestone, 946.6 thousand tons of construction sand, 283.4 thousand tons of limestone during the same period.
