Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan will have a leading position in Europe for efficiency utilization of power stations after launching of South Power Station, Azerenergy President Etibar Priverdiyev told in the press conference.

According to him the works on construction of high-voltage lines are being conducting. At the same time new power-substations, small water power stations are constructed. Underground substation which is the first in Caucasus is likely completed.

He also spoke about the construction of Iranâ€™s Khudaferin Water Power Station over Araz River with the border of Jabrail region. Azerbaijani and Iranian Foreign Ministries signed a protocol on this.
