Azerbaijani President: â€œWe have never used and will never use the energy factor for other purposesâ€

According to him the gasifying is processing successfully, in Azerbaijan. â€œWe intend the gasifying process to cover the 90% of our country. This index in Azerbaijan is greater than in other countries. If the gasifying reaches 90% it means that all regions of Azerbaijan were supplied with gas. Today, we have new opportunities as the result of new initiatives in chemical industry. Weâ€™d like to establish new modern oil-chemical plant recently. This is project demanding a great means. SOCAR works on this project and obviously will hold a presentation. Thus, weâ€™ll use the Azerbaijanâ€™s energy potential more profitable. At the same time, weâ€™ll achieve to launch new work places.â€

The head of state noted that 2.5 bcm of gases was pumped in underground gas stores of Azerbaijan: â€œThis is a historical achievement, as well. At the same time our export opportunities and its geography is extending. The signed contracts and memorandums of agreement show our opportunities. The number of both companies and countries intending to collaborate with us increases and method of approaching is positively. Because of our energy policy is very clear, cordially and unambiguously. We have never used and will use the energy factor for other purposes.â€

He also noted that, today, SOFAZ collected more than $ 20 bln: â€œOur total currency stocks are more than $ 26 bln. The sole source of it is SOCARâ€™s activity.â€
