Azerbaijan to export oil production to Afghanistan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan intends to export oil productions to new markets, SOCAR Vice-President Elshad Nasirov informed.

According to him Azerbaijan does not intend to increase the export of oil production. Crude oil export is more profitable the oil production export: â€œAzerbaijan exports oil production mainly to Georgia. At the same time we export reactive fuel to Greece, Italy, diesel fuel to Mediterranean region.â€

SOCARâ€™s official also noted that Azerbaijan would export diesel, gasoline and kerosene to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan. Oil production will be exported to Afghanistan through Caspian Sea.

Note that, Azerbaijan sent 4.2 mln tons of oil production (includes export) to consumers in January-August, 2010, up 5.5% compared with a year ago.
