Romania to finance technical - economic justification of AGRI project

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov â€“ APA-Economics. Romania will finance the technical - economic justification of AGRI (Azerbaijan-Georgia-Romania Interconnector) project, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev informed.

According to him the expenditure to be spent for justification makes $2.5 â€“ 3 mln. Romania intends to borrow from European Union.

â€œOur purpose is to sell our gas more expensive at the world markets. We try to make more diversification our energy corridors and sell our gas at more marketsâ€ he stressed.

According to him Azerbaijan conducts negotiations with Nabucco, TAP, ITGI, Russia and Iran. Azerbaijanâ€™s current gas potential may increase the exported gas to Russia to 2 bcm.

Note that, Azerbaijan, Romania and Georgia have signed a memorandum of agreement on AGRI project o April 13, in 2010.
