Azerbaijan to finish drilling works in Umid gas structure by end of year

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. State Oil Company of Azerbaijan will finish the exploratory drilling works in the Umid perspective structure by the end of the year, SOCAR Vice-president Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh informed.

According to him presently, 5.5 thousand drilling works was conducted in Umid structure. â€œWe have to conduct the 6.5 thousands drilling works.â€

He also noted that Azerbaijan expected 1 bcb natural gas from this well. All these works are required to be spent AZN 60-70 mln.

Note that Azerbaijan is planned to produce 23 bcb gas, in 2010.
