SOCAR: 7.8 bln cubic meters of gas will be produced in Shah Deniz field this year

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Shah Deniz perspective gas structure is forecasted to produce 7.8 bln cubic meters of gas during 2010, Kamal Abbasov, General Manager of Gas Exports, SOCAR told APA.

According to him Shah Deniz has 3 wells and the 4th well will be launched recently. â€œThis well is expected to produce 7.8 bln cubic meters gas by the end of the year.â€

He also says that Azerbaijan es expected to export 5 bln cubic meters of gas to Turkey, 1.4 bln cubic meters to Georgia and 1 bln cubic meters to Russia.

Note that, Shah Deniz projectâ€™s participants are: BP (operator â€“ 25,5%), Â«StatoilÂ» (25,5%), ARDNÅž (10%), Â«LUKoilÂ» (10%), NIKO (10%), Â«TotalÂ» (10%) and TPAO (9%).
