I hope we will not run out of time to conduct this operation so that we may enlarge the format on a legal basis decided upon in four this time,’ Baconschi told a join news conference with his Hungarian counterpart Janos Martonyi.

He added that Martonyi’s presence at the ongoing annual meeting of the Romanian diplomacy is a clear political sign of Romania and Hungary’s wish to boost the region’s voice through better coordination at the level of the new member states.

Martonyi’s ongoing visit to Romania signals the capitalisation in Europe’s interests on the agenda of the future Hungarian presidency of the European union.
