Hungary decides to join AGRI project
’If Mr. Orban, the Hungarian prime minister, does not want to go to Baku as observer, but as co-signor of the document, we have to work quickly to have Hungary agree on the already agreed upon text of the declaration of the AGRI three chairs. I hope we will not run out of time to conduct this operation so that we may enlarge the format on a legal basis decided upon in four this time,’ Baconschi told a join news conference with his Hungarian counterpart Janos Martonyi.
He added that Martonyi’s presence at the ongoing annual meeting of the Romanian diplomacy is a clear political sign of Romania and Hungary’s wish to boost the region’s voice through better coordination at the level of the new member states.

He added that as far as the political developments in the European Union are concerned the two countries have converging interests.
’There are many issues we have approached and our interest is in consolidating the common energy policy of the EU and a series of common policies that characterise the policy of the two countries,’ said Martonyi. The Hungarian foreign minister said that Hungary will be counting on Romania’s support during the time it will hold the six-month rotating presidency of the EU, Agerptres informs.
