Novruz Mammadov: No need to appoint permanent Azerbaijani representative to CIS so far

Azerbaijan sees no need to appoint permanent representative to CIS so far. Novruz Mammadov, President’s Office international affairs department chief told APA. Commenting on the fact that Azerbaijan is the only country among CIS members having no permanent representative to CIS, Novruz Mammadov said there has not been a need for it.
“The representative will be appointed, if there is a need,” he said.
Asked whether there was a candidate to the post of CIS executive secretary, besides Sergey Lebedev at the CIS summit in Dushanbe on October 5, Novruz Mammadov said he can not comment, since the issue was discussed in closed meeting. /APA/
