Novruz Mammadov: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will address energy conference in Vilnius

The department chief said that heads of five states and senior officials of a number of countries will attend the conference.
President Ilham Aliyev is planned to make speech. Two documents are expected to be signed at the conference. The documents may give an impetus to the implementation of two energy projects. One of them is establishing electro energy bridge between Lithuania and Poland and the other is a contract on Odessa-Brodi-Plotsk oil pipeline.
Novruz Mammadov also added that jubilee meeting of GUAM countries will possibly be held in the framework of the conference.
The organizers of the event are Lithuanian Foreign Ministry, Lithuanian Strategic Research Center and the US Hudson Institute.
Forum will also be held with presence of experts and representatives of energy enterprises in the framework of the conference. Matthew J. Bryza, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State will make speech on â€œEnergy security of Eurasia: geopolitics and diversity of gas transportationâ€. His wife â€“ Zeyno Baran, Director of the Center for Eurasian Policy and a Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute will chair one of the sessions of the forum. /APA/
