Political parties meet in CE Office in Baku

The representatives of Musavat, Democrat, Popular front, Liberal, Democratic Reforms, Open Society, National Ä°ndependente, Umid and others participated in the meeting. Deputy Chairman of Musavat Party Arif Hajili stated that they debated preparations to roundtable.
â€œVenice Commission and authority carry out debates on amendments in Election Code. The other political parties are expected to join this process in the framework of these debates. Several political parties and authorities will have joint meeting on November 9, they will debate reforms to be carried out in law. This meeting was of preparation character,â€ he said.
APFP Supreme Assemblyâ€™s chairman Gulamhuseyn Alibayli stated that they will prepare report on the base of roundtable to be held on November 9 and submit it to the Parliament.
â€œWe exchanged views on the formation of election commissions in this meeting. This meeting was of information character and the details will be debated in the next meeting,â€ he said.
Alibayli stated that representatives of authorities did not participate in the meeting.
â€œWe were told that New Azerbaijan, Motherland and Social Prosperity Parties were invited to the meeting. But they boycotted this meeting. It seems authority is inclined to boycott,â€ he said.
Deputy Executive Secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Mubariz Gurbanli told the APA, they did not receive any invitation on the above-said meeting. CE Office in Baku stated that official information will be spread on the held meeting today and all the issues will be reflected here. /APA/
