Ziyafet Asgerov to address NATO PA session

A group of parliamentarians headed by Ziyafet Asgerov, first vice-speaker of Azerbaijan parliament, head of Azerbaijan delegation to NATO Parliamentary Assembly will leave for Reykjavik, city of Island to participate in the 53rd annual session of organization, Parliament’ Press service told the APA.
The delegation is composed of Azerbaijani MPs Melahat Hasanova, Siyavush Novruzov, Tahir Suleymanov and Gudret Hesenguliyev. They will express their position on the issues to be debated at the meetings of NATO PA Defense and Security, Political problems, Science and Technology, Economic and Security commissions and give their proposals.
Agenda of the session includes cooperation between NATO and EU, the South Caucasus-NATO relations, the economic and political situation in Georgia, the relations between religion and state in the region of Black Sea, the joint cooperation of the world countries in combating against human trafficking and terrorism and other issues. Ziyafet Asgerov is planned to report on the relations between NATO-Azerbaijan, reforms carried out in our country, Azerbaijan’s participation in the programs of the organization and political-military situation in the South Caucasus.
The visit will end on October11.
