Luxemburg to host next meeting of Azerbaijan-EU Cooperation Council on October 16

Deputy Minister said that delegation he chairs will visit Luxemburg on October 15 for participating in the meeting. The delegation is composed of the representatives of Economic Development Ministry, Finance Ministry and other state bodies. Senior officials of European Commission are expected to participate in the meeting. Implementation of â€œNational Actions Planâ€ prepared by Azerbaijan, perspective plans will be debated in the framework of the program â€œEuropean Neighborhood Policyâ€ in the meeting. The last meeting of Azerbaijan-EU Cooperation Council was held in Baku on September 28.
Azerbaijani government and European Commission signed National Actions Plan reflecting cooperation of Azerbaijan with European Union in Brussels at the end of the last year. EU is planning to allocate â‚¬ 92 million to Azerbaijan for the execution of National Actions Plan in 2007-2010 in the framework of the program. That fund will be spent for the qualification of legislation, energy security and implementation of the projects on broadening democracy in the country. /APA/
