Safa Mirzayev: The only principal issue in amendments to Azerbaijanâ€™s Electoral Code is to set up special commissions for considering complaints

He said that after the above-mentioned commissions are set up, efficiency and processing capacity in considering the complaints will increase.
Safa Mirzayev said the other issues on amendments to the Electoral Code are of procedural character, and it will be possible to improve them in the election process.
Safa Mirzayev also underlined the possibility of holding high-level elections with the present Electoral Code.
Head of parliamentâ€™s office also touched upon the adoption of the new law on political parties. He said the present law mostly covers internal issues of the parties.
â€œThe new law is to regulate the relations of political parties and the state,â€ he said.
Safa Mirzayev expressed his confidence that the law will be adopted in the parliament of the third convocation.
Head of parliamentâ€™s office said the 100th parliamentarianâ€™s assistant was appointed today.
He noted that parliamentariansâ€™ assistants meet modern standards.
â€œNo complaint has been received concerning them,â€ he said.
Safa Mirzayev said he sees no need for the adoption of the law on freedom of religion and added that this is the only Azerbaijani law analyzed by European countries.
Touching upon the problem of religious relations in the country, head of parliamentâ€™s office also mentioned that Azerbaijan is a secular state. /APA/
