Azerbaijan nominates three to European Court of Human Rights

Three have been nominated from Azerbaijan – Khanlar Hajiyev, who has been representing Azerbaijan in the court since 2003, Zakir Guliyev, judge of the Supreme Court and Saadat Novruzova, advisor of President’s Office department of human rights protection.
The list of the candidates have been prepared by the member states in line with their commitments and CE Committee of Ministers at the 988th meeting on June 13, submitted the list of candidates from 16 countries to PACE, for changing the composition of European Court of Human Rights.
The candidates from Albania, Andorra, Austria, Azerbaijan, Denmark, Armenia, Georgia, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, San Marino Macedonia, Turkey and Ukraine will elected in PACE fall session. /APA/
