Russian Defense Ministry: US, Russia and Azeri experts to visit Gabala radar on Sept.15

â€œWe consider that American expertsâ€™ reviewing the station will produce certain results and the experts will assess the station. Russian Presidentâ€™s conception is well-reasoned. The conception allows preventing the threats which force the US to deploy missile defense system in Eastern Europe. I think that American experts will not be indifferent to Russiaâ€™s proposal, and in this case they can be sure of the efficiency of our approach,â€ he said.
Sergey Lavrov said the first round of negotiations will be held in Washington and the next round in Moscow. Experts will sum up the results of the talks and report to their ministers.
Russian Defense Ministry told APA that the experts are scheduled to visit Gabala radar station on September 15. Arrangements are being made for the visit. Experts of Russian Space Forces, not representatives of Defense Ministry will visit the station.
Press service of Russian Space Forces told APA that reporters are not expected to visit the station.
The US Embassy Public Affairs Officer Jonathan Henick told APA that the Embassy contacted its representatives and it is not confirmed that the visit will take place on September 15. /APA/
