He said that Azerbaijani experts along with their Georgian colleagues are reviewing the uncoordinated establishments.
“The delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister, chief of state commission for delimitation and demarcation of borders Khalaf Khalafov will leave for Tbilisi to negotiate basing on debates of experts,” he said.
Asked if the state commission will debate on the area where David Garedji cloister is situated the committee chief said a church or a mosque does not draw boundaries.
“Border delimitation has its rules. Shift maps and other aids are used for this. The USSR republics were within the same borders. Azerbaijan like other republics left the USSR in 1991 and became a sovereign state and is specifying its borders. Azerbaijan is carrying out specifications with bordering Russia and Georgia. We do not aim at determining what country a church or a historical monument belongs to. There are related bodies, Culture Ministry and historians for this,” he said.
Mr.Mammadov objects to politicization of this problem. /APA/
