German Delegation visits Azerbaijan

Delegation under head of German Mainz cityâ€™s municipality Yens Boytel visited Azerbaijan. German delegation was received by Nazim Ibrahimov, head of State Committee for Azerbaijanis Living Abroad following the visit to Martyrsâ€™ Alley, APA reports. The meeting stated that Mainz and Baku as well as other regions and cities of Azerbaijan will expand relations.
Nazim Ibrahimov said Mainz will become one of the permanent places of meeting for Azerbaijani Diaspora. German delegation head was pleased to se them in Mainz. Yens Boytel said Azerbaijani chess player Shahriyar Mammadyarov will be his guest in August expressing respect for him.
The head of municipality said Baku and Mainz are sister cities and there are seven sister cities of Mainz in the world. He told the journalists he intends to enhance the level of relations with sister cities. He stated he supports establishing economic relations as well as cultural relations. German guest said heads of 12 Azerbaijani regions visited Mainz to study their experience. The Delegation is to be in Gabala, Shaki, Ganja, Shamkir and Yevlakh to familiarize with socio-economic development of the regions.
The visitors will also visit Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jewish synagogue, Orthodox Church, Ministry for Energy and Industry, Sports and Tourism Ministry. They will go to see Ichari Shahar (The Old City) and Gobustan historical preserve later. /APA/
