Tbilisi to host international forum on dialogue among cultures and civilizations

Second international forum on dialogue among cultures and civilizations will be held in Tbilisi on May 24-25, APA reports. Public, political figures, scientists from about 30 countries have been invited to the event. Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili and speaker Nino Burjanadze will participate in the event. The delegation led by Ganira Pashayeva, head of Azerbaijan-Georgia Friendship Group will represent Azerbaijan in the forum. The forum will be organized by Georgian Foreign Ministry, Education Ministry, Culture Ministry, Dialogue Eurasia international organization and Georgian International organization.
The forum will bring together representatives from the US, Germany, Azerbaijan, UAE, Czechia, China, France, the Netherlands, Iran, Spain, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, Vatican, Greece and Armenia.
Parliamentarian Nizami Jafarov, Director General of APA Information Agency Vusala Mahirgizi, head of News department of ATV Etibar Mammadov, editor-in-chief of Zaman-Azerbaijan newspaper Enes Cansever are expected to participate in the forum along with parliamentarian Ganira Pashayeva.
Azerbaijani representatives will underline the necessity of dialogue among cultures and civilizations, negative tendencies in the world, focus attention that Azerbaijan is one of the countries where the level of national and religious tolerance is high, there has never occurred religious conflicts, people of different civilizations and cultures live in peace and friendship, all national and religious minorities are paid great attention in Azerbaijan.
They will also draw the participants’ attention that thousands of Azerbaijanis lived the present territory of Armenia, they were deported from this country, religious and cultural monuments belonging to them were destroyed as well as Armenia carried out ethnic cleansing in the occupied Azerbaijani territories and destroyed its cultural heritage. /APA/
