Roundtable on World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development held

The event supported by UN Department of Public Information, Azerbaijan National Commission for UNESCO, Ataturk Center and “Simurg” Azerbaijan Cultural Association is dedicated to the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.
Head of Ataturk Center, parliamentarian Nizami Jafarov addressing the event said that the dialogue was the efficient way of solving problems, conflicts in the world.
UN representative Envera Selimovich said the event aims to publicize necessary knowledge on dialogue culture which is an important factor on the way to dialogue among civilizations.
Deputy Culture and Tourism Minister Sevda Mammadaliyeva said all civilizations pass through intercultural dialogue stressing the necessity of such events.
“If the issue is solved, there will not be any terror, any ethical, any religious conflicts in the world. All these meetings held in Azerbaijan shows that our country is taking active part in the solution of these problems,” Azerbaijani parliamentarian Rabiyyat Aslanova said.
President of “Simurg” Azerbaijan Cultural Association Fuad Mammadov said they gave proposals to Culture and Tourism Ministry due to the establishment of International Universities of World Culture and expressed his confidence that these Universities will play a great role in the solution of above-said problems.
Following this, parliamentarian Ganira Pashayeva, Secretary of the National Commission for UNESCO Emil Hasanov and others delivered speech on the theme.
